By seemingly popular request, we will attempt an Anonymous Game. This game will not have published personas.

The Writ:
You will, on your honor, not attempt to discover which other players are in the game or in what position, or reveal what kingdom you represent, and you acknowledge there is no way for your GM or EAE to enforce any of this. You won't email anyone about the game, post about it on the forum other than in a format we may establish - with no persona or personal names or references to past history. If all that sounds agreeable, sign up and let's see what happens.

You obviously can't post about your being in the game, or not being in the game anywhere on the forum or elsewhere, and you can't post your kingdom preference here, or you already have violated your Writ.

Send your intention to be in the game, your willingness to accept additional signup fees, and your top 3 kingdom preferences and top 3 "not this kingdom" preferences if you wish, or say you just accept what is assigned, to signup@alamaze.co with the subject title "G110 Anonymous Game". Kingdom preferences will be awarded in the order they are submitted, but won't be reported until you get your setup. I know I am probably leaving out lots of other stuff that needs to be addressed, but I will just add to this as needs be.

So, you can post here to say you like it or hate it, but you can't say anything about being in the game or not being in the game, or knowing that anyone else is in the game, or you will have violated your Writ.

We will update the thread maybe each time three players have joined to let you know how the signup is progressing.

Charging extra for this game will probably kill it but I'm curious what extra work is required? As far as I am aware, only the Turn 0 printout of the player's personas would have to be omitted and you're good to go.

I think just in posting the thread for this game I had to come up with four or five different things that we don't normally do just to sign up.
This game now has three players signed up.
I noticed mention of restricting the communications in this game variant to the orders in the command list. Does that mean that the message fields at the bottom of the turn order sheet won't be used either? (I'm talking about those *Message from the Black Dragon Kingdom: "You are a Poopy Head"* things that are on the turn report.)

Five signed up.

Is this an anonymous variant, trusting the players to communicate without identifying themselves, OR, is this an attempt to have a contest with no communication AND no position identification?
I am in for a privacy game .. I mentioned it in another thread but if this one is to be the official thread I figured I'd post it again.

My preference for the privacy game would be communication ONLY via orders 341-349 and not the messages on the turns. This would truly make trying to communicate a tough choice as far as order management goes.

I hope anonymous games mean communicating only thru orders 341-349 and not the extra message entries at the end of the order sheet. Actually, we also should forbid the use of orders 347 and 349 since they specify additional communication via outside means.

If these restrictions are in place, the gaming experience would truly be like it was back in the Middle Ages of waiting seemingly forever for a response back from a neighboring kingdom, paranoia of whether the alliance will hold, ...etc.

I thought it was NO communication and NO identification. Orders 341-349 or in game messages should be forbidden as well.

This is my impression from Ry Vor's WRIT, but I didn't see that as clearly stated/expected by those that may be inclined to play the game.
