Coup- cardgame the reminded me of Alamaze - Pine Needle - 11-30-2024 First of all, I hope you all had a fabulous Thanksgiving. My oldest brought her girlfriend home to meet us for the first time from college, and she brought a great cardgame, Coup, which we have been playing incessantly. It really is like Alamaze-light. You have emissary cards which give various powers, an Ambassador can recruit other emissaries, a Duke can stop foreign trade, an Assassin can, well, you get it. Each turn you collect financial resources or move against other players (kingdoms), which can be blocked by the other players as well. There is lots of bluffing. Unlike Alamaze, learning the game took half an hour, and each game took about that long, too. Check it out if you like games like that, and I bet you do. Happy holidays. Sounds fun, will check it out. My family also spent the last 3 days playing various games. |
