I understand about the limits on many brigade types. I used the combine groups order to combine two groups totaling about 50 brigades I checked to make sure I would not be exceeding the limits on companions and summonsed types. When I got the turn results, I was surprised to find out that 10-15 total brigades just disappeared. The explanation was that I had exceeded the total number of "Brigade Types". I can't find information on this anywhere in the rules (very big rule book, it must be there, but I don't see it). A couple turns later, after a big battle I read that several brigades earned advancement but were unable to receive this advancement because again, I had exceeded the total number of brigade types.
     Can someone explain what has happened and where I can find this rule? Playing Eleamentalist if that has any bearing on the situation.  Thanks in advance.
