124 - Steel with Twists - 31 Turns - Longest Ever?

To borrow from author Patrick Rothfus, the point is not so much to win, but to play a beautiful game. I've won a grand total of one game since the relaunch began (and tied one) but I've enjoyed nearly every game I've played.

lol, how should I know? I think we should chain him and George RR Martin together like in The Defiant Ones and not let them loose until they each have their next book completed. (Yes, I know, GRRM is not our bitch.)

Do enjoy Rothfus, but he's definitely in Martin's category in terms of a leisurely pace of writing. Not that Brandon Sanderson is much better...two books down in The Way of Kings. Only eight left Smile

And they both need a better editor. Is Martin's new book going to be over 1,000 pages? I'm not sure it takes 22 pages to explain that Arya is training somewhere dark.

Yeah, sometimes you just need to skip ahead in that book.

I vote for the chain!

I will prepare a write-up sometime this weekend.

Here are my nominations (to get the thread back on topic):

Iron-Willed = Lord Diamond (GI) for keeping those mighty Giants from becoming irrelevant and also for sacking the UN water capital.

Chancellor = Mauler (GN) for never abandoning his attempts to convert me to the dark side where I could join he and the UN.

Infamous = Yellowbeard (TR) for throwing in the towel when he still had a strong playable position.

You know what, I would like to change my nomination for Infamous to Yellowbeard. His dropping really screwed the game up. Wynand was a terror, but he really doesn't deserve Infamous.

For the record, I pillaged that village hoping to kill the Underworld agent hiding there.

Please do not take any of my comments as a personal insult or as a criticism of the game 'Alamaze', which I very much enjoy. Rather, I hope that my personal insight and unique perspective may, in some way, help make 'Alamaze' more fun, a more successful financial venture, or simply more sustainable as a long-term project. Anyone who reads this post should feel completely free to ignore, disregard, scorn, implement, improve, dispute, or otherwise comment upon its content.

I would nominate DuPont (DW) for Iron-willed and Jumpingfist (RA) for Chancellor.

I'm not sure I interacted with anyone that truly deserved the Infamous label.
