OK, Silent it is! I understand now that that will help Ry Vor procedurally as well, in terms of the setup.

We will draft without knowing teams, but on the reveal we will indicate teams. And I think it would still be a good twist to allow each team one substitution (indicated privately) after the reveal.

Spoke to Ry Vor privately and it would be helpful on a couple of levels to have this one be Silent. So with JF's willingness, it seemed we should go Silent.

Is it really a huge deal to you?

In the grand scheme things of things no. But on another level. Yes. You yourself earlier in this thread said that the default was Anon. Which would suggest that a tie would fall back to default. You asked for my vote and then as soon as JF voted, you didn't even bother to wait for my vote, you just made a decision on your own, so clearly my vote is irrelevant but JF vote is the only one that matters. Then, you and Ry Vor apparently decided it was going to be Silent anyway. These are kind of things that suggest that great preference and deference are given to certain veteran players and not to others. And that in turn is the kind of thing that starts to degrade a player base. So either all players votes matter or they don't. In the future, just don't ask me for my vote or opinion if they are just going to be overridden by the elite circle regardless.

During the 12 minute interim between my request for votes and subsequent post, I interacted with the owner of the game who informed me procedurally it will be difficult to set this one up as Anon, especially since he's playing.

Even with your vote, it is 2-1 Silent, with no word yet from Netstrider.

This isn't some cabal, and I'd appreciate it if you didn't jump to that conclusion. It is merely real-time interaction on a matter where the proprietor's preferences and limitations really ought to play at least some minor role.

At a bare minimum, letting him be the tiebreaker regardless of the previous default would seem to be pretty minor.

Hope that helps. I'm just a volunteer and don't really need to deal with aggravation for it, still happy to help but also happy to hand this off to someone if they prefer it.

Pretty sure we can all agree to play nice. I appreciate that people's opinions no matter how long they have played matters. At the same time people who volunteer their help cannot be under appreciated.
