  A new confederation game.
Posted by: Windstar3 - 8 hours ago - Forum: Alamaze New Game Sign-Up! - Replies (1)

Hi all. I would like to propose a new confederation game. What this entails is that each player controls 2 kingdoms at the same time. Other than that, it is business as usual. There is no communication in the game, and no alliances are allowed. This is a fun game and it will help to sharpen your skills as a player. There is a draft with a neutral 3rd party setting up the order in which the draft goes. A player will first pick his regions (they are paired in a fair manner) and then on the back of the snake draft, the last person to pick regions will pick first his two kingdoms and then it goes down to the first person to pick regions. All in all, a great experience.

Anonymous Game 5877 has an alliance?

I hate to break the invisible anonymous thing, but we now have an ally declaration in an anonymous game of 5877. We do allow some subtle signals like not attacking a PC, or voting with someone on a HC issue, but we do not allow alliances, trades, or any actual communications. Please undeclare the alliance and please do not act as a team.
Thank you.

Coup- cardgame the reminded me of Alamaze

First of all, I hope you all had a fabulous Thanksgiving.

My oldest brought her girlfriend home to meet us for the first time from college, and she brought a great cardgame, Coup, which we have been playing incessantly.

It really is like Alamaze-light. You have emissary cards which give various powers, an Ambassador can recruit other emissaries, a Duke can stop foreign trade, an Assassin can, well, you get it.

Each turn you collect financial resources or move against other players (kingdoms), which can be blocked by the other players as well. There is lots of bluffing.

Unlike Alamaze, learning the game took half an hour, and each game took about that long, too.

Check it out if you like games like that, and I bet you do. Happy holidays.
