I think we need a minimum of 8, obviously 10 or 12 is better. And we could move it further back (later) on the calendar to allow more time for other players to join - right now its before the 3rd pre-season games: the only ones that kind of matter. It would stink to have your picks and then the next day some get hurt in a pre-season game. Still concerned about a Saturday morning time for the draft: some people may have family obligations and I am thinking ultimately we will not do a breakfast draft. Seems contrary to tradition.

Looks like still stuck at 6 teams...that's not enough. Perhaps gaming nerds and sports nerds don't often overlap...lol.

We need at least two more players for the fantasy football league.

Maybe Canticar can change the draft to later on Saturday or even later in the week in an attempt to lure a couple more players?

I'd like to see the commish move this back to after the 3rd preseason games both because that is important to see, avoid drafting injured players (the starters don't play much in the 4th game), and to allow others a chance to get in. Also move to the evening draft time.

Hoping we get to 10 players.

25 passing yards = 1 point
Interception = -1 pont
Rushing, receiving, return TD = 6 points
10 Rushing, receiving yards = 1 point
Reception = 1 point
Fumble = -2
2 point conversion = 2 point
FG = 3 point, 40+ yards = 4 point, 50+ yards = 5 point
Defense standard scoring with bonus for points allowed
Block kick = 2 points

Roster = QB, RB, WR, 2X Flex, TE, K, D
Flex = RB/WR

On-line Draft = Saturday Aug 29 @ 8 am central

Trade deadline set to the latest possible

Trade approval based on commissioner approval. I tend to approve everything unless there is very obvious collusion. ( a first round pick for a player out for the year would be denied)

We have six players who have clicked the link above and joined the league. Any chance we can get two or four more?

The draft is set for Tues 5:30 pm on Sept. 1st.

Should be a fun spot for regular communication with a bit of competition, especially for those players who mostly play anonymous and don't get an opportunity to learn much about their fellow Alamaze enthusiasts . . .

And I will be unavailable from Wednesday morning until Saturday night of this week. The first games are Thursday Sept 10th. Can I suggest a draft on Sunday afternoon/evening on Sept 6th? I would think most people would be free on a Sunday afternoon/evening....plus it would give more time to get at least 8 players. If we don't get at least 8 players I'm not sure it will work well.

Sunday afternoon Sept. 6 is perfect for me.

I agree on points here. We need a minimum of 8 to make it worthwhile - come on people, this doesn't cost anything and is just about bragging rights! You do watch the NFL, don't you?

Sunday the 6th afternoon is perfect for me too if we get to at least 8 and hopefully 10.
