Experience Making Youtube Videos
#1
I think Alamaze might be a bit difficult for new players to wrap their heads around, just in how to proceed - getting a map, marking a map, how to submit orders, etc.

I wonder if we could get a volunteer to produce a few 5 minute Youtube videos on "how to", from signing up in the first place, to reviewing results, marking up the map, entering commands.  I'd provide scripts.  There would be account credits for this project.

You're providing the scripts? That means that someone with absolutely no Alamaze experience could do it, right?

Probably not.  We'll need someone to show with a pointer on the map and order entry and turn results what we are talking about.  As to the script, I mean generally what areas to cover in each short video, and specific places to go to, like "This section of your results is where you learn the results of last turn's battles.  Here is information on how your groups did executing orders.  Now we have the status of each of your groups: their size, locations, brigade composition, morale, leadership and any wizards.  Next is an important section detailing any encounters you may have with foreign groups, population centers, or Unusual Sightings."  So that might be pretty good direction but we need someone doing the video to linger a bit so the viewer can read at least part of it, and to scroll down and maybe point to a leader and a wizard and name him (read the name).  That kind of thing.  Just looking for those screen sharing presentation applications with voice.  No human acting.

I'm going to start to do some research on line.

I used Microsoft Expression Encoder 4 Screen Capture to make the demo videos for the Banana Mapper. But I do not remember why I chose it over the others I found. I'd volunteer to do the videos for you, but I would not get to them any time soon.

Just had an idea.... get the TitleMax girl to do the voice over. Smile
