Emails Or Login

What is everyone's preference regarding receiving their turns: by email (like now) or login and have all of your kingdom information presented on a webpage (no emails)?

The new website for 3rd Cycle already displays much of a kingdom's information as it is and I'm wondering if I should expand that to include everything else and no longer send out emails from the server. I'll have to remove the left sidebar "notes" section since the page will need that extra room to add more menu-tabs like Artifacts, PC Production, and Battle Reports and such but I won't bother with all of this if people prefer to receive emails instead.

So place your vote on how you would like to receive your turns in 2016:

1 = email (keep things as they are throughout 2016)
2 = entirely online (no more emails)

E-mail, I think--serves as a reminder. I wouldn't mind getting an e-mail to tell me the turn is ready and then logging on to view it.

E-mail. With Christmas coming up, opening turns when they come in still reminds me of opening presents as a kid. Smile

We are accustomed to email, but if you knew the same service turnaround existed, e.g., at 5 after noon you knew your turn would be there, and from that place you could also access all past turns from a pull down, and likely also send direct communication from the server to the player (we did that in FoR), and it provides a better facility for fast turn around using the "ready" button, it might be something to reconsider.   Now you likely have an email folder for each game, as well as a folder for each map, maybe correspondence, etc.

Maybe there could be a test, but if it looks like most people want email no matter what, it's not worth Mike's time to develop.

In Fall of Rome, you went to one website, check any turns, issue any orders, interact with the map, send communication, and its all on hosted servers without having to launch applications, create folders, manage emails, etc.

Think about it, won't you?

I print my turns using the email file so I can review even if I don't have internet access somewhere. If I would still be able to print a turn off of the website then that would be fine.
