I was thinking about new games, longer games, and the stress test Uncle-mike needs with the ready button.
Phase 1 - Set up duel games for each region that has 2 positions. Players play a duel to see which kingdom advances to the main game. For example, region 10 duel would be nomads vs. Ancient ones.
Phase 2 - Winners of the Duels then play a normal game of Alamaze but with the needs to help test game. For example, 24 hour turn around.
Phase 3 - Profit?
I would be happy getting a random kingdom in an event like this plus we really push the speed results needed to get the play test done. I was just trying to think of a new variant to get players into a game and get the tests needed done. I personally think Alamaze can be too short and I do realize that it is a war game with an end. With such a great world background, I bet some players would like a slower game that emphasizes building and such and not so much a chess match.
