Obviously programming would be involved but I was thinking it could be possible for the game queue program to handle filling in standby positions for dropped players.
Something like...
-Their would be a never filled game that is a list of standby players.
-When a player drops a game using the game queue GUI, the kingdom now shows Holding for a Player.
-The game queue would detect this and put in the next personal not in the game into the kingdoms position. That player would get an email and notice they can go and get the old turns.
-if the position is unplayable the player would also drop. The game queue would dectect this is the second time that kingdom was dropped and not fill it again but would auto ready the kingdom to not delay the game
-the standby player would be removed from the list but could put him self back on at the bottom. This is more to keep games full than to give the standby a great game.
I think this would help with game where many time someone just dropped but still owns a region. The standby not being charged anything has no reason not to have a good time fighting it out.
