I think we should clarify that this is a Silent game, rather than an Anonymous game.
An Anonymous game has a non-player determine draft order and who controls which kingdom is not known, as well as no communication. A Silent game allows the selection of kingdoms, normally as part of posting on the forum, but still no communication between players regarding the game.
With some new players and already some confusion on how to get started in Alamaze, I think this should be a Silent game, as has been the most popular form, rather than Anonymous which sometimes is problematic and gives rise to disputes and has taken days to get the draft done. I believe when Enari requested anonymous, he meant no diplomacy as in Silent.
Also, mainly for the new players but really for anyone wanting to get some advice in Alamaze while playing in a Silent game, you can reach out to other members of the community who are NOT in this particular game, and we have a number of senior players who make themselves available for mentoring and utilizing them can really accelerate your Alamaze learning curve. They sometimes post directly about their availability or Support can often find you a mentor.
So, if this is agreed to be Silent, I suggest selecting kingdoms in the order of signup after the remaining conditions are established which at this point has been suggested to not select the mage kingdoms of Druid, Illusionist, Necromancer, Sorcerer or Warlock.
Another usual condition but to be clear for the new players is to only one kingdom can be selected per zone. So for example, either the Druid or the High Elves will be in Oakendell, but not both. Once one is selected, the other cannot be. Finally given some current factors, it might be wise to make this a 10 player Steel rather than 12 player, and then just suggesting this time dispersed kingdoms (UN or PI, RD or TY) could be selected. Again for new players, you will receive the Chivalry bonus of an additional 25,000 gold to the starting treasury.
If that's not disputed then to get things moving I suggest Drogo select, then Enari, then Eregnon and Ashgar and then everyone else signing up in order from this point on as would be the case in Steel games.
If there is a desire for an Anonymous game, I would suggest that be a different thread and limited only to experienced players, say over 2000 Valhalla points, sometime after this game fills.
