A few Questions
#1
Hello,
I played this game back when RSI ran it and also under Pegasus.  It has been a long long time.  I'm running the tutorial now and plan on going through it a second or third time.  Ive read and printed out the guide and the commands.

I have two questions regarding this game for now..

1) How long between turns do we have to enter orders and complete them.  Is it Hours a day, days weeks, etc...

2) What is the best account to sign up for if I want to play in a game from beginning to end, one at a time..

3) These are usually games with restricted diplomacy where you control one kingdom. Variants have 12 and 10 kingdom (and player) games.

One slot and $9.95 setup or $27.95 all-in.   IS it 9.95 a turn what is an all in set up VS one slot?

Thank you

Hey there - I can answer some of your questions.
1. Most games run every 72 hours. They can sometimes run quicker if everybody submits their orders early.
2. Scout would probably be your best bet as that gives you one game slot, so you'd only have to pay the set-up fee for your games. Squire is an option as well.
3. $27.95 pays for the entire game from start to finish if you don't want to pay for a game slot.

I would like to see some changes to our Welcome message to make things easier on new players.

For one, when you establish an account, it will list your service level as Free Duel.  I'd like to change this to Scout Level Service, which means you can be in one game at a time.  Duels are free to all players, and we have a Duel Arena section of this forum to arrange for matches.  Not used often but it is an excellent way for an experienced player to teach a friend Alamaze.

A new player won't be invoiced until his first game begins.  Then it will be (presently) $9.95 for a month - 30 days, which will include at least 10 turns as we run turns every 3 days (72 hours) or quicker.  So it runs about a buck a turn.  Warrior Level service is next which allows you to join a second game while your first is running.  Your subscription then is $17.95 a month for two games.  Beyond that we have Commander (3 games at a time), Victor (5), and Imperator (8).

New players just establish an account at www.alamaze.co, then establish your persona here on the forum as well, and play the free Tutorial, then maybe request a Duel.  When you are ready for your first "real" game, look for the thread then active here under Alamaze New Game Signup.

Find out why Alamaze is one of only a couple computer based games running and better than ever after 30 years since debut.
