I do not like muffins. Do you have any scones? They're like muffins but more manly.

There are some pretty manly muffins where I live, super loaded with peanut butter, jelly, bacon, etc.  that being said, anyone who says manly muffins cannot be taken seriously.

I had my reasons. I think people know my reputation and I don't run from fights.

Yeah, he did have some bad luck going against me.

For example, my measly elven troops were able to capture three high ranking emissaries (duke and two barons) from him early on. Also, he moved a bunch of high level emissaries into my region but without a conceal emissary spell so I got notice on most of them. That enabled me to do status quo and other things making that attempt somewhat unsuccessful.

Now, his main group led by three marshals are in the forest against my group which is probably not a good idea. Forest terrain nullifies his archers and cavalry (his main strength) while my forces are nearly at full strength due to the archers trait. I could go on but DuPont did have some bad luck go his way which otherwise could have been an easy takeover of his third region.

Anyway, if someone picks up the Sacred Order kingdom, send me a note and we can discuss things so you can recover (though that sounds kind of strange considering the SA is in 2nd place points-wise) and can still win the game.

Understood. I certainly didn’t mean you run from fights. See you soon I trust.

Dobby did that?

Well, flash flood works well against the Sacred Order so if you combine forest terrain deductions along with that spell (forest -50% archers/cavalry plus another -75% cavalry reduction from spell), it pretty much nullifies the mighty SA troops while my wimpy elves are at nearly full archer due to kingdom trait plus +30% forest bonus. Also, I think he recruited like mad to have so many troops and those stormgate guards are tough but also very expensive to maintain. He probably took deductions during summer of not feeding/paying his troops. That's demoralizing when expecting an easy victory. Also, I think he didn't expect to see high level elven magic going against him as well. I had hoped he would stay in the game but just move into another region :>

I think my reputation as 'Iron Willed' is well known in these parts. I do not quit simply because I've had a setback. Suggestion otherwise is extremely offensive and supremely dickish.

Send the location to Rellgar. He'll be right over.

Well, what's troubling you then? I would rather have you say what's on your mind than sulk about it. I'm so tired of people making accusations without proof that I'm willing to show all of my turns to a 3rd party who can compare what happened to your unsuccessful invasion.

I don't know what you did or why it failed. I just responded with general defensive tactics like status quo's, denigrates, domes, and so on. If someone looked at your turns, would they find that you reconned my pc's before moving your guys there? That would have helped in knowing not to move there since elves get a +15% bonus with status quo.

Did you raise your wizards to counter mine? Ward pc vs dome and so on. Did you invade the elves without considering counter-magic? That's nuts.

How about your troops? Would they find that you recruited like mad then couldn't pay or feed your troops during the summer? Did you ask to trade with anyone to help with your situation or did everyone refuse because you already had two regions under control before turn 10?

Hey, don't blame me if you made mistakes in this game. My initial strategy was to basically sacrifice things until I got a few high level wizards to help repel a military-style invasion since I was surrounded by military kingdoms (sacred order, cimmerians, tyrant, and necromancer which could be strong).

So I say, don't sulk but share your turns. Let another see what you did but don't blame me for a bad die roll...

Hey now, that wasn't nice at all...

Where am I sulking? I didn't say anything at all and preferred to leave without comment. The only reason I have said anything is because I got called out for leaving because I had a setback and I think it's pretty clear that I don't do that. I didn't imply anything about anybody and was trying to simply withdraw without any fuss. You seem to think I implied you were cheating or something and I didn't even suggest such a thing nor did I think it. Do you really think I was unaware that I could have traded for food or done any number of other things? I have fought on in games when I was reduced to a few starving people in a sanctuary and this was a kingdom that was in second place.
Since you wanted to know why I left and I suspect I won't be allowed to simply withdraw from the field, it's because you sent me a really arrogant and condescending email and it just totally soured me on this particular game. I'm not in the best mood right now as I'm living in a literal disaster zone and I found that this particular game gave me no joy after that. I stuck with it for one more turn to see if the feeling would pass but it did not and I do not see the point of sticking with something i am not enjoying. I didn't drop any of my other games (some of which I am doing a lot worse than in this one) and intend to play many more games of Alamaze. But I will probably do my best to avoid getting entangled with you in future games. I very much respect what you have done with the game and that is why I really didn't want to make a forum issue of what may well just be a personality clash that erupted when I'm already on edge but I wasn't allowed to quietly fold my tent.
To be clear, I don't mind friendly trash-talking and I'm quite capable of doing it myself, but that was not at all how your email came across. Perhaps it's just me - again, I'm not in the best place - but some of that same attitude seems to me to be in the above forum posts. If I'm being a snowflake, that's on me, but I simply didn't see the point of sticking with a game that I wasn't enjoying in any way.

Heck, that what's got your goat? Nah, I was just playing around dude. Just having some fun. Please re-read that email and you'll see that I wasn't making fun of you at all. Most of that stuff was just bluffing anyway. BTW, I can reinstate you in the game if you want but I need to know right away because the next turn is coming due soon...
