What happens if you have already spotted an Unusual Sighting, and you decide to divine for a new one. Is it possible for the priestess to divine the name of one of the encounters that you have already seen? I ask this because my unusual sighting is superior, and I don't have the means to get to it yet and was hoping on getting a lesser one to build up for the bigger one.

Yes, if your parameters could include the one you already know about, you can divine that artifact (sad trombone).

You also can divine the volcanoes, which really sucks, so try to avoid a search that might include them.

What's REALLY fun is when you choose the customization to get a sighting in your home region, and they tell you about something that you already have (Stallions for starting in Krynn). There are stallions in Krynn! Woohoo! Oh, wait...

Yes, on the drawing board is a redistribution of artifacts to balance out regions. But the artifacts are set on game creation and while the odds are low, you might devine an artifact you chose for customization or began with by virtue of the region character. I think this is only a potential issue on those rare occasions in a couple regions, Krynn being one.
