Gnomes being able to upgrade there war machines using mithril

The Gnomes are evil with Mastery magical prowess, but they don't get the basic fear spell?

They don't get the basic valor spell either, or orcs as a companion, so the only way to boost morale against opposing fear spells is a pwr-3 (15%) valor from Minotaurs?

Perhaps the Gnome are too cute for anyone to really fear them?

To be fair, the Gnome does have pretty good companions and has the undead summons. It does seem odd that they don't have Fear or Valor.

I'm fine with this.

The Gnome is not a military kingdom. They are economic with good agents and mages. And nobody is fearful of a gnome. And gnomes aren't really brave.

That said, they do have minotaurs and trolls and siege so they aren't helpless militarily.
