Kingdom Icons That Denote Gaining Control Of Region
#1
IMPRESSION

Well, kingdom icons such as this one appeared on the game map, today.

These kingdom icons (or whatever the correct term for them is) are a nice visual flourish, mid-game. They really get the eye's attention.

Maximus, I like them as well. It gives a player a visual representation of who is winning and who is losing all in one boat. Let's say that the Necromancer has three or four icons on the map. That means that they are about to win, so that is a flag. Ideally, looking at the information in the turn itself where it lists who owns what regions, and how much you yourself own in them, it is refreshing to see it visually.

Developing that map snapshot was one of the most complex things that I had to do programming-wise. Glad it turned out ok, though I like what you did Charles back on turn 0. He created a custom map note where his Foreknowledge gave the location of his initial artifacts. If I were still working on the software, I would make that or something similar as standard on the turn 0 map display. Those map locations should be known due to the Foreknowledge trait.

I was just playing/fiddling with the Notes feature. I concluded that I didn't like it, and instead started transferring (copying and pasting) manually to a text file, to maintain a small portions of key note details elsewhere.

If I remember right, the Notes are simply going to be cleared/reset the following turn, so the Notes feature proved to be of no value to me, for that very reason.

The Verify orders function, by comparison, I've begun to use more. I still don't have all of the kinks worked out in understanding the game, but the Verify function is something that is increasingly proving to be something that has functional value to me. Of course, if one can't remember to click on it, even though it's right there in front of me, then there's only just so much that one can do to remedy that kind of problem.
