Giants! You own a town in Zamora. Through rookie error, I reconned a couple of your squares in the Sorrows and found a human town. I'm sure you'll find it yourself, but maybe we can negotiate your withdrawal from the Zamoran town in exchange for the location of the arguably more valuable coastal town I found?

I also ask for your friendship and potentially alliances with at least some of you. Advise and guidance welcome, too. Bank some good karma and be kind to the new guy!

GI - AT,

In all honesty, I was going to move my Prince and Duke to Python Cove and make things interesting right from the start until I heard this was going to be your first game back.  So I refrained from moving them against you.

I’m already aware of the Human town and am moving an emissary there this turn.

I will say that when I was playing there wasn’t this concept of Tight Control and Loyal reactions so I’m not a big fan.

AT - GI:

I'm glad your Prince and Duke chose another vacation spot. The weather in Python Cove is terrible this time of year.

If you don't mind instructing me, what would have been the result of your moving a Prince and a Duke to Python Cove at the same time that I moved two of my emissaries there and enamored the region? Would you have been able to prevent my eventual capture of the city? And wouldn't your characters have been vulnerable to assassination or some other deviltry?

As to your forest town in Zamora: we love having you there, but a little-known fact about Atlanteans is that we perform our mating rituals in the forest and also that we're incredibly shy to do so with other races towering over us, so what can we work out to put that town in Atlantean hands and make the youngsters happy?

Free Traders:

I note your motion at High Council to increase your influence a second time. While the motion is meritorious, I would like further information before I cast my vote, namely, will you support a similar motion that I intend to make next turn in exchange for my support of your motion this turn? Without this information, I cannot guarantee what my transactional-minded diplomats might do in my absence.

This is why in surface-side taverns you often hear the phrase "dumb Atlanteans." Of course you don't need my vote to pass your motion on the High Council. (Thanks to Wookie for pointing it out to me.) So much still to learn!

Ly -GI     Hey big guy.  I agreed to tax the pop center on turn 4.  I see your division is all set to stomp so I have a question.  I still have a helplessly low agent in there.
Since your attack will come before my tax isn't it just a waste of an order for me to tax it?  And if you capture my agent can I bye him back real cheap, like for an elk bone?
Guess that was more than 1 question.  Us lobo's don't count so good.

LY - DA   Same situation, I agreed to bring in the tax guy on turn 4 but your brigade is already there.  My almost worthless agent was planning on coming home with the tax levy.  If you are attacking before the tax I won't waste an order and hope you will sell the guy back if you capture him?

Us pack animals start darned low on influence so every saved order helps.

Gi - LY, perhaps the DA and my generals interpreted that you’d vacate “by turn 4” to mean everyone would be gone by this turn.  Think that was the language used versus “tax on turn 4.”

Regardless of any misunderstanding, I’m Happy to sell him back if I capture him really cheap.

DA-LY That's just where my brigade chose to camp. They have better things to do than attack.
