Thanks…

Player A picks 2 regions
Player B picks 2 regions
Player C picks 2 regions
Player D picks all 3 regions.
Player C picks 1 region
Player B picks 1 region
Player A gets final region,

Then:
Player D picks 2 kingdoms
Player C picks 2 kingdoms
Player B picks 2 kingdoms
Player A picks all 3 kingdoms
Player B picks 1 kingdom
Player C picks 1 kingdom
Player a picks 1 kingdom

Alternatively, we could really mix it up and allow regions/kingdoms to be drafted interchangeably:

I.E. Player A could pick either 2 regions, 2 kingdoms or 1 region and 1 kingdom in his slot.

And finally, perhaps we change the VC from 8 regions to 7 as 8 regions can be tough even if it's just down to two alliances.

Need thoughts and input from you guys if this is what we want. I like the matrix, pick whichever you want kingdom/region. And 7 regions but ok with 8.

7 regions sounds good. as for picking the draft. Im ok with whatever option each option has its own strategy. with that said we started over already making too many changes does that effect the draft picks? just what whatever is chosen that everyone feels its fair and all good.

Crazy idea time!

1) Pre-determined region sets. Each player chooses a set, i.e., all three regions at once, but we determine the sets ahead of time. Afterwards a normal snake draft for kingdoms.

For example:

Set A: Crown Islands, Triumvia, and Sword Coast

Set B: Darkover, Nyvaria, Zamora

Set C: Diamond Coast, Zanthia, Mythgar

Set D: Krynn, Pellinor, Untamed

2) Priority tokens - Each player has two priority tokens - one for regions and another for a kingdom. Draft as normal, except the priority token, lets you "steal" a pick.

For example, player A chooses Triumvia but does not use his token. Player B can use his token to "steal" Triumvia. In that case, player A immediately picks again, and then it goes to player C. No one can steal Triumvia now - it has a token on it. Do the same for kingdoms.

3) Auction - Each player has $25 Alamaze bucks to spend. Each pick costs at least $1. Player A makes his opening bid for a kingdom or region. It goes around until the highest bidder gets it. (This is essentially Fantasy Football-style)

Or we can do the draft you mentioned above. Seems straightforward enough.

Seven regions for a victory condition is fine as well.

Let me know when you settle on rules and such.
If you want I can have the AI pick the regions...
Also was everyone in agreement to end the game if so I can cancel it.

That’s crazy Dave!!!!!

Not against the predetermined, we had those before for team games.

I'm good with whatever you folks want but would personally lean towards trying the new snake draft format (i.e. Player D picks two kingdoms, etc)

Yes do the snake draft this time around, then you can work out the rules for one of those other options next time? 7 Regions snake draft let the picks begin :-)

Ok:
Player A picks 2 regions/kingdom
Player B picks 2 regions/kingdom
Player C picks 2 regions/kingdom
Player D picks all 3 regions./kingdom
Player C picks 1 region/kingdom
Player B picks 1 region/kingdom
Player A gets final region,/kingdom

Then:
Player D picks 2 kingdoms/region
Player C picks 2 kingdoms/region
Player B picks 2 kingdoms/region
Player A picks all 3 kingdoms/region
Player B picks 1 kingdom/region
Player C picks 1 kingdom/region
Player a picks 1 kingdom/region
