Crazy idea time!
1) Pre-determined region sets. Each player chooses a set, i.e., all three regions at once, but we determine the sets ahead of time. Afterwards a normal snake draft for kingdoms.
For example:
Set A: Crown Islands, Triumvia, and Sword Coast
Set B: Darkover, Nyvaria, Zamora
Set C: Diamond Coast, Zanthia, Mythgar
Set D: Krynn, Pellinor, Untamed
2) Priority tokens - Each player has two priority tokens - one for regions and another for a kingdom. Draft as normal, except the priority token, lets you "steal" a pick.
For example, player A chooses Triumvia but does not use his token. Player B can use his token to "steal" Triumvia. In that case, player A immediately picks again, and then it goes to player C. No one can steal Triumvia now - it has a token on it. Do the same for kingdoms.
3) Auction - Each player has $25 Alamaze bucks to spend. Each pick costs at least $1. Player A makes his opening bid for a kingdom or region. It goes around until the highest bidder gets it. (This is essentially Fantasy Football-style)
Or we can do the draft you mentioned above. Seems straightforward enough.
Seven regions for a victory condition is fine as well.

Let me know when you settle on rules and such.
If you want I can have the AI pick the regions...
Also was everyone in agreement to end the game if so I can cancel it.

I'm good with whatever you folks want but would personally lean towards trying the new snake draft format (i.e. Player D picks two kingdoms, etc)

Ok:
Player A picks 2 regions/kingdom
Player B picks 2 regions/kingdom
Player C picks 2 regions/kingdom
Player D picks all 3 regions./kingdom
Player C picks 1 region/kingdom
Player B picks 1 region/kingdom
Player A gets final region,/kingdom
Then:
Player D picks 2 kingdoms/region
Player C picks 2 kingdoms/region
Player B picks 2 kingdoms/region
Player A picks all 3 kingdoms/region
Player B picks 1 kingdom/region
Player C picks 1 kingdom/region
Player a picks 1 kingdom/region
