Wow, that is quite a list! I believe there are a few low-level leaders we could add to it as well. I recall losing one of my top agents when I got greedy and went for a warlord. I thought maybe the group was too far north for a guard; it wasn't.

Looking back, I did not lean into my hidden capital enough. I took the route of preserving my troops and fighting for the region. In hindsight, I likely should have huddled at the capital, raised its stats, and hoped you forgot about me. By becoming a constant nuisance, you pretty much had to track down my capital.

When you did recon it I got the notification of course. It just so happens I had a group on the way back to the capital from picking up an artifact that happened to land on a DK village in the water a bit north of my capital. I took it and moved my capital there, thinking it would be safe for a few turns. Nope! The DK immediately moved a boatload of skeletons (skeletons!) and took it. So after all that, the first one to take my capital was the DK.

Thank you everyone it was a fun game.

This was my first game to turn 40, and my 3rd game to join.  I learned so much in this game especially in the final turns from "FireWalls", and Domes of invincibility, and seeing a large battle unfold.  There are so many lessons learned that I probably kick myself when I make some of them again in other games.

Hopefully see everyone in another game soon.

I think you played it right. I couldn’t do much about your fleets as my agents were all running around guarding everything, so you always had an income stream to keep you going. I would have had to have 10 agents hit your fleets at once to stunt your cash flow, and no way that you would let that happen twice. That lack of an income stream is another RD shortcoming.
Side note: I was losing my mind over never killing your leaders/wizards in battle with the sword. In that last fight 70% casualties, 25% sword bonus. Nobody dies? You had the sword, spear and axe (+45%) and no bueno? Also, flanking for the RD is so situational that I could never get the planets to align to make it work. You were immune as long as you were flying and the PI had a warlord.

Compliments on you and the PI making me “pay the iron price” ;op Honestly, that challenge made it all the more fun and rewarding.

I was surprised I didn't lose anything in that last battle. And then, in another game, I lost a p-4 in a battle vs a village where the losses were single-digit. <shrug>

Flanking is very good when you can pull it off. I've learned that lesson the hard way several times. I kept all my groups flying to avoid any possibility of being flanked. Also nice to fly over water and the boost vs PCs. You can stun a warlord to get a flanking attack in (assuming one warlord).
