Need Old Map Feedback and Discord Event
#1

Guys,
I had the old map redone in our current formats, and the next step, once it’s finished, is to devastate it—to create a new/old map that’s recognizable to older players, but dramatically altered. The once majestic cities will be reduced to crumbling ruins, swallowed by the aftermath of a cataclysmic event. The terrain will shift, reshaping mountains, forests, and rivers, as the land bears the scars of the calamity. This will be the Rebuild Map for the next cycle.
Here’s my issue: I can’t read the old maps I have, so I need your help identifying the old zones and cities—everything on the old map that you don’t see here now. So jump in and point stuff out, please!
Also, tonight we’ll have a Discord event from 8-10 for anyone interested in talking or who has questions.

Region boundaries were fluid on the old map and seemed to be defined by a blend of where the pop centers landed and terrain features. Thus you could have some bleeding from game to game and one wouldn't be sure what square might be in Runnimede and what might be in Torvale (for example). I much prefer the boundaries to be static and known as we have it now.

Literally, I don’t know any names other than what you see on the map, haha. Yes, regions on the new map will be defined like they are today, but I want to use this as the basis and build from there.

Top left: Oakendell (region) - Lorethane (city)
Top middle: Northern Mists - Viperhead
Top right: Talking Mountains - Zabzanka
Mid left: Torvale - Meridon (Avalon can be in Meridon or Amberland)
Center: Amberland - Evanon & Zarathon (If Avalon is in Amberland then Zarathon is in Synisvania (yes, it could be a large, oddly shaped region))
Mid right: Eastern Steppes - Gurisek
Lower left: Runnimede - Cradia
Lower middle: Arcania - Triesa
Lower right: Southern Sands - Vanasheen
Mid/lower right (above the sands) - Synisvania - Almaren

This is what I recall. I may not have all the spellings correct.

Is it not the 3rd cycle map under the map tab?

Looks great! I'd be happy to try out some games on this map, without the added cataclysm planned!

Agree looks great! Back in the day with more than one kingdom starting in a region, and the Red and the Swampmen with PCs scattered everywhere.

I need to go find Rick's rant about the Swampmen. Classic.
