Unusual encounters section of player aids is not working. 404 coming up. Is it for me something technical or is it removed?

Off line I think, because it’s incorrect on calculation. I think Brek/John posted it somewhere a few weeks ago. Don’t use calculator..

The QSG has a simple summary that has worked for me since the tool was taken down. Two generals and a P3 with guarded attack will get you fine, excellent. P4 guarded attack worked for me for a sup encounter.

Where is it you can find the summary calculators for Unusual Encounters? Not sure where the QSG is you're referring to.

Brekk had posted this quick start guide somewhere, but I can't find where he posted it at the moment.

Guys as of right now, go to the quick play que. Complete Alamaze rules v1.8.

Go to very end there are some charts with chances for agent activity. It gives you a pretty good starting point on success or fail, EXCLUDING any enemy agents on counter/traits or artifacts that may be in play.

Each level garnishes about 5% add or subtract to a die roll and you can infer a probability outcome from calculating your agents level and what they may be going against. Hope this helps.

Thanks Johnny!

Thanks Strong, I was looking for more hints on what worked for Unusual Encounters. The Agent player aid still works so that one is still good to get an idea of the chances.

Some of what was posted is pretty good. But like I posted in another thread:

Played SO lost 3 leaders on fine class US. With P4 and P3 wizards casting mirror image. 1st leader has <5% chance of dying, 2nd had <1% 3rd had <<1%. Lost all three in one group. Another leader in another group also same game, left me 1 leader, yeah not happening.

FT game US fine class warlord General P4 P4 both with mirror image lost a P4, <1% better odds of winning the freaking lottery than losing a P4, on a standard attack.

Had many of these, as well as, agent fails in the past year or so. Brek was advised on many and was looking into it. That’s why I posted a thread to see if it was my account only or game wide.

If you look at games that are finished that I was in and dropped early, there were several, it was due to bad rolls. I refuse to finish a game where my starting position was compromised that badly at the start. Hard to ask a player to play against 11 others and the game mechanics.

Now when it occurs, I contact John and he can makes in game corrections. If the calculation appear to be severely bad.

Just FYI on some of my experience with these roll/calculations in the game.

I suggest that if it looks like a failure was almost impossible to contact Brek/John he can determine if something was screwy or not.

This is great. Brek please reroll the battle I just had inflicting 95.5% damages and killed a captain. That's it. Wizards and other leaders escaped, but did complain of a slight chill.

Then my mummy supposedly inflicted 5% more damage, which, let's see, carry the one, means that lucky group gave more than 100% just like my old cross country coach thought was possible.

I just say this as luck goes both ways.
