Unfortunately, I haven't received replies from Mike in some time, so substantial coding changes or adding a new map are currently out of scope for updates. That said, I have some BIG NEWS!

I am now collaborating with a player who has experience in game design, aiming to rebalance all kingdoms. Over time, particularly when new classes were introduced, the increase in power levels wasn't applied retroactively to older kingdoms. Additionally, many current companions, spells, and other elements don't align with what's described in the kingdom overviews.
The objectives for this update include:
  • Introducing new companions to certain kingdoms, available through recruitment or spells.
  • Adjusting current companions and kingdom troops to ensure their damage occurs in appropriate combat phases. For example, elves currently might deal significant damage in melee rather than missile phases. We intend to realign these dynamics to better reflect each kingdom’s characteristics, increasing strategic depth and realism.
  • Accurately displaying damage phases and rankings for each kingdom, including recruited or summoned brigades.
  • Revising reinforcement schedules.
  • Increasing the recruitment cap for certain brigades.
  • Reviewing and potentially updating kingdom traits.

These are just a few of the improvements I'm working on.
My plan is to implement changes incrementally, updating 4-5 kingdoms at a time, or alternatively shutting down games briefly (e.g., over a weekend) to apply all updates at once. I will provide at least one month's notice before any updates take place.
A significant challenge we face is that changes made automatically impact ongoing games. Therefore, I suggest we discuss as a group how this affects everyone and determine the best approach for implementation.
