Ming, Sun Tsu, Titus and Zoroaster were so excited for the opportunity to bring back justice and peace to the world. These Ancient Ones Consuls were determined to bring back the old ways. Starting with the first election to the High Council, it was clear that the people of Alamaze were praying for the return of Ancient Ones rule.
Early on, we took control of Pellinor while our nearby kingdom of Sacred Order took over Nyvaria and Stormgate. These misguided zealots would need to brought under control soon. But no hurry. By the sixth season, nearly all regions were under control by the various heathens around Alamaze, and some were even at war: RD vs DU, GI vs TY, DE vs SA. The Ancient Consuls sat patiently, while studying the Sacred Order regions. Which way should we go? Subdue the zealots or stem the rise of the Red Dragons who were clearly dominating the heathen Druids? By the end of 10 seasons, the Red Dragons had conquered both Untamed Lands and taken Mythgar from the Druids. No rush. We will subdue the zealots in Nyvaria, then go deal with the fire-breathing monsters. With 4 consuls, 8 princes and maxed out influence in the world, we were ready to invade Nyvaria and perhaps Stormgate.
But wait, what is this? With 2 regions and a cowed Druid, the Red Dragons boldly invade the Ancient Ones' territory of Pellinor? Oh no, this cannot be. With no domes yet, our best defense will be offense. So, enamor Mythgar and go free the Druids so they can fight back. And invade Untamed Lands. If we can strip the Reds of villages, that should slow them down. With 3 Red Dragon groups in Pellinor, all Ancient One princes are taking villages and towns in Mythgar and Untamed. While the Reds take city, towns and a village, we barely retain control. By the end of the 12th season, the Reds are well out in front of public opinion and on their way to owning 3 regions. Oh, hell no.
Over the next few seasons, we free Mythgar of the Red control, we free the Untamed Lands of Red dominance, and we take back nearly all of Pellinor. Is the Druid happy and thankful? No, that silly heathen keeps denigrating his liberators and saviors. By the 17th season, our Ancient Ones own Pellinor and Untamed Lands, and there is still fighting all around the globe. Now we have the awesome Dome spell and our agents are jumping in to kidnap Red emissaries. But there is still little we can do to 3 Red groups jumping around and hitting things. Monsters, pffft.
By the end of the 18th season, the glorious Ancient Ones have reclaimed tight control in Pellinor, own everything in Untamed except the Red capital, have wiped a Red group with its Power 3, have acquired 2 Dome spells, and made the Red hostile in all relevant regions. It is all over except the accounting. The Red is still in 1st in the minds of the people, but the people are finally recognizing the glory of the Ancients. And those Sacred Order folks are also very highly revered by the people. That will need to be addressed soon.
The next few seasons see more Red Dragon groups destroyed, with the last of his wizards, and sees the Ancients starting to build large castles for the glory of the people. The Reds leave the lands, the Deathknights leave the lands, and the Druid finally takes back Mythgar, but never even sends us a thank you note. Upon taking the former Red capital, my missing princes return, along with several Druid prisoners. We now have 3 legendary castles and we start kidnapping Sacred Order agents in preparation for our next invasion. The Tyrant exits the land and there is fighting between the Lycans and Halflings, and the Lycans and Cimmerians, and the Giants and Demons, and oh wow, just the kind of chaos that we are looking to end.
By the end of the 24th season, the people are solidly behind the Ancient Ones. The people love me. The Sacred Order is still much loved, so it is time to end that mistaken devotion. In addition, the Illusionist, Giant and Halfling are all doing well in the world rankings. Ancient One princes are all visiting Nyvaria towns and villages, so that region will soon find better leaders.
Over the next few seasons, Nyvaria falls to the Ancients, Stormgate falls to the Ancients, and it is time to go teach the Druid that he should thank his liberators rather than berate them. The Cimmerians and Sacred Order exit the land, and the world rejoices as the Ancient Ones have tight and loyal control of four regions. With 6 wizards level 7-8, over 400,000 food production and over 300,000 gold production, with 7 legendary castles and 5 great castles, it is time to finish this. The Illusionist is actively studying all of my population centers in Nyvaria and Stormgate, and it is clear that others will soon head my way, so it is a matter of how fast can our awesomeness take a fifth region.
By the 30th season, the people have again voted the Ancient Ones as most loved, and all Ancient Ones princes are visiting Mythgar towns and villages. Our primary army is at the city and an invisible army is at a village. But how many domes does the Druid have? With 5 Dispel Dome spells and a full assault, 4 domes were dispelled and Mythgar declared its love for the Ancient Ones. The world can once again be free of evil and strife so long as everyone does what we say. By the way, the creation of 2 crystals of seeing along the way was quite a helpful thing.
Congratulations to all who made this a fun contest and especially to those who made it to the end to witness the truly majestic rise to glory of the indomitable Ancient Ones.
