Exceeding "Max Per Group"?

I sort of recall in earlier editions of Alamaze, you could combine two armies (#740) and bypass the "Max Per Group" limitations. For example, Centaurs are normally maximum 5 per army group. But If I have two army groups each with 5, can I combine them and have an army group with 10 Centaurs?

The max still holds. If you take a group with five centaurs and combine them with another group with five centaurs, you end up with...five centaurs. The extra five vanish.

I thought the same once upon a time.

On a related topic, is there a maximum number of types of creaures that can be in an army group?

You can have up to five troop types in a group. However, that counts experience level, so a regular version of a brigade is different than the veteran or elite versions.

The Unclemike's thread outlining changes says:

Troop and Faction Changes:

2) The number of troop types within a group will increase from 10 to 15 slots.

I think I'm confused regarding if I can have 5 or 15 troop types within an army group. Can someone please help me understand?

Hi.

You can have up tp 15 different troop types in one group, HOWEVER, Experience counts as different types. Soooo if you have 6 Westmen one green, two regular, and three veteran they would take up 3 of the 15 slots.
