Hi everyone!

I got the following error that surprised me:

"Recruiting Paladins is not permitted for our kingdom."

I am playing Giants. I don't have the Evil cultural trait and due to my starting region I have veteran paladins along with a marshall so as far as I can tell I meet all the requirements.

Any ideas?

I ran into that as well as the Giant in the last few months. I don't know if it is an error or intended, but the Giant can't recruit Paladins.

Thanks so much for the response and the link! I'm glad these irregularities are getting identified and possibly either fixed or mentioned in the rules.

In that post, someone suggested trying to recruit Knights of Styx instead of Paladins with the Giants. Has that been tried?

The interesting thing is that the regional benefit gave me a unit of Paladins (not Knights of Styx). It would be funny if I could recruit Knights of Styx as then I'd have good and evil unit types in the same army group. Smile
