Congratulations to everyone that finished it was a long trip.  Congrats to Ozymandius for the Victory!  This was my first game back after many years, I wanted to test mechanics and figure out the new meta.  I thought I might finish as high as 2 but figured near the end I would be 4th ish.  Wars blazed all around me and as the game got closer to the end...(I thought 40 was it), I prematurely attacked a big DK (Lord Thanatos) group in the mountains.  I knew he would have a wall and also the HH but I wanted to see how a buffed Dwarf did. (It was bloody on both ends but manageable for both parties if not wasteful on my part.   If I would have realized 50 was the end I would have planned a bit better and still probably been easily beaten LT if he remembers has a past with me both positive and negative he is a really good player.  Dwarf was fun to play but the military seemed a bit underwhelming and really relied on having a Elite troop type early.  I probably lost 8 princes lol but managed to make it to the end.  Thanks to everyone.

I am impressed with how well the Dwarves did in a game type that seems to favor the wizard kingdoms. It was a fun game. I was attacked early on by the Red and managed to keep him away from my capital and raise wizards.

In hindsight, I was too cautious with the Elementalist and clearly could have been more aggressive. They are a challenge to play as their only companion, Mephit, is really bad. If I did it again, I would have relied on pop center recruiting more. It was pretty cool having 10 wizards, all p-7 and above, though a bit of a pain fitting them into only four groups.

Thanks, TBH I realized very early this was going to be a Status Point Battle so I hunted artifacts, and turtled.  Pretty sure if one of you would have focused me mid game it would have been bloody but I would have lost.  I had everything in play a dwarf could do including 4 7s 1 6 and a 5 with 3+ warlords and like 70 troops.  Not really a threat but also not making enemies other then LT when I thought the end was near.

Any good battles, wars please share everyone.  I will share a couple of battles that were kind of cool.  I also had some decent covert actions like killing a DK warlord through a guard mission.  So probably just beginners luck. Gem of the Planes really helped. Lol just to be clear DK had at least 5 of my princes so its not all gravy.

I was pleased to escape with finishing second in this game.

The NE and the DW were both thorns in my side this entire contest.  The NE was my first target, but I could not flush him out in the water; better this than having a fully capable NE on my doorstep.  NE played extremely well!  The DU, EM, and SO all were involved in my kingdom since the status points showed two full regions under my control. That was after destroying the NO utterly - well, he did control my city. He dropped just as the three wizard kingdoms showed up. After fighting the three wizards I finally caught a break as the three were otherwise occupied. Then, without even a chance to catch my breath the DW engaged!  All the while the NE was building up and lying low.

I never had a chance to even locate the DW popcenters. Late in the extra turns I located the DW minor city but couldn't ever deal with it. The NE showed up and was a threat again! I ended up fighting the DW and NE until the end - each of them had four or five prisoners in my dungeon. On turn 50 I took the (now) DW Legendary Castle (my first ever), I had never made it back to, and my starting town in the DW town to take his full control away.

When looking at my turn results, I was second and breathed a sigh of relief! Even had I not finished the top three this was a truly magnificent contest. My best finish was a first, but this one was more satisfying. I, like Alzreborn, had to learn the game again.  I now have seven games completed and am still learning!
