Order 54 (counter espionage)
#1
Question: If two agents do the #54 order in the same area, do they stack? Or does just the highest one work? If they do stack, that could be bad for the enemy agent. Back in the day, I believe, you could use an agent to stir up the pot and then use another agent to perform his/her duty with less resistance. What's the call on this?

If I remember correctly, all individual agent/fanatic orders stack. But John may need to check on this, been awhile…

(I used to use multi lvl 1 agents to protect my sea area, and the enemy agent had to make a throw against each.)

Windstar,

I was told it's the average of the two agents I do not know for certain, though.

I hope it is not average, as adding a second agent would then reduce your counter espionage. I would think it was 2 different checks, one at each level? Or stacked. anything else and we should be told so we never use 2 agents.

Hi, just checking in today to see what's going on with Alamaze.

Vball is correct (as usual?) that each agent is checked separately. That includes any counter measures by non-specific entities as well. As with the counter-espionage bonus from fortifications, certain buildings, or the dire wolves spell that protects a group, etc. For those non-agent specific measures, you'll get a different response message. I forgot the exact phrase, but it may be a generic, "your agent was caught/killed".

So, the attacking agent will have to successfully pass ALL counter measures protecting the target. Whether they are multiple agents defending, or buildings, or spells, etc. If the attacker fails at any of them, you'll run the risk of being captured/killed.
