Game 6061 - Darkelf victory

Game 6061 ended on turn 40, the results:

While I won as the DA, it felt pretty hollow as this game had a lot of drops, even in the late game. 

DE was close to winning (four regions), and the NO and others pushed him back, and then the DE dropped (leaving Triumvia empty for quite a while). The IL had some monster groups, full p-9 wizards across the board, and one turn just dropped out of nowhere. The UN similarly dropped late and, to my knowledge, was not attacked. So it was the four of us remaining. The NE was clearly more powerful. I was fortunate in that I moved a turn or two sooner.

My game was:

Turns 1 - 4: get region
Turn 5 - 12: Withstand RD attack; he dropped
Turn 13 - 25: Fight the TY (lots of good battles on both sides)
Turn 12 - 40: Grab territory

I played UN, I was left alone and built up… I wasn’t going to win, but I could have hurt someone’s chances. I used agents against TY NO and SO almost all game. Saw DA doing well in south decided to stay out of the battles up north… well played to all, I think T33 I bowed out and chose not to hinder the last few turns for any of the other players. Good job to the finishers.

I was the Last to join and was not super happy with the zone but wanted to practice the SO type position.  NO caught me early and kidnapped 3 of my high agents, we both landed on a Weapon artifact and I got it but he killed one of my mages then stole the weapon!  Randomly was in the NO region to get Mummies (Desert) and he randomly had a bigger unit there.  We slugged a cold/warm war the whole game, I finally organized a bit and was moving into the Sword Coast as he was spread out and my luck I land on the DA with more and bigger wizards on what should have been a fast take over.  Go back to base and lick my wounds until the end.  I did not want to quit but it was obvious I was not a mover and shaker the last 1/3 of the game.  Congrats to all.  I will keep swinging, I did Revelation DA last turn just to see how he was built as a reference.

I should point out the NO nearly had the game won before the remaining players jumped in. I'd say he was no more than two turns away.

The NO also beat up my smaller groups pretty well the last few turns.
