Group Transfers
#1
I vaguely remember it used to be a rule that you couldn't transfer your very last figures out of a patrol (i.e. you couldn't render the transferring group inactive as a result of the transfer). Similarly, I vaguely remember that you couldn't transfer your very last brigade out of a brigade-sized or larger group.

That said, I couldn't find these nuances in either the rules or the commands.

Can anyone confirm or correct my understanding above? Many thanks.

You can transfer all your brigades.

Really? Wow, thanks... I guess I may have wasted 1,000 GP on a combine. Smile

Do you know if the patrol transfer point is correct, though? That you can't effectively disband a patrol by transferring out your final figure or figures?

Ok, My understanding of this is that I can transfer all the brigades from a group to a inactive group by doing a 702, leaving only leaders or whatever. Is that correct?

In the past, I have used multiple orders to get leaders into a group such as 699 1DE 2DE - - SM DO followed by 701 1DE 2DE TD - LO

imaginary names for leaders and wizards above, but basically I couldn't just transfer all the troops out leaving the 1RD with no brigades left. This is saying I could just transfer the brigades out with some leaders and wiz leaving the 1 RD with no troops, just leaders and wiz?

699 1DE 2DE DE 3 - - ( leaving just leaders and wiz in the group, like I wanted to begin ).

Is that correct?

You can do that HH. I have moved out the last figure to make room. Be sure there is an open slot for a military leader though or it can get blocked.

You can't form a new patrol with order 700 or 701 however. That will fail.

Yes you can form a patrol by moving just the troops out into another group. Your 699 or 702 will do that.
