That is really cool. So each game is different in that the kingdoms won't be the same. Very nice. Makes one wonder about the possible team combos.
So are the Talking Mountains empty while some regions have two kingdoms?

Yes, it's a great variant where picks determine the teams. I'm still looking for another Titan opponent, if you're interested

Turn 1 back, sea battles galore. Will, you're still a snake, but I'll get you yet.

Ah, the sea battles:
The 2EL perished in the wintery depths of the sea of Terror, their ships savaged by the expertly-crewed galleys of their dark elven cousins.
In the sea of Mystery, the ships of the AN sank the remaining Elven fleets, but weakened, then fell to the rams of the piratical UN.
Harsh losses on both sides, but I'll take the results

Forgot to mention that the 3AN died with honor in those battles in the Sea of Mystery. Their sacrifice will be avenged!

Note that one of the changes upcoming for Classic is to reduce what is currently often the complete destruction of one side or the other at sea to still decisive, but not annihilating battles.

The third season has now come to a close. While the RD gained the first high council seat for an attractive bid of 49201 gold, the advantage was quickly lost as the WI bid 56K for the next seat and the EL dipped even deeper with a bid of 64K. Thus, Scott's perfidious legions hold a two-one advantage on the HC. Luckily, my partisans were able to state the new issue...so nobody has yet been affected by the HC.
No battles have yet been fought (aside from the mutual bloodletting on the seas turn 1).
The gods have been kind to my nation so far. The RD, GN, DA and AN were able to gain control of their regions this turn. The emissaries of Scott's kingdoms have obviously gone on an extended coffee break as they have yet to garner control of a region.
Will, imperial leader of the RD/GN/DA/AN/RA/SO
