Hi Guys,
I realise this is a daft question but i want to make absolutely sure. Every time we use an emissary of any kind we lose influence - even if it is just moving them from one location to another?
Cheers

Or having sex with one and then having it revealed as a skeleton in the closet.

Influence means both how many orders you can give in a turn, and how influential your emissaries are in political actions. You do "use up" influence in a turn by issuing each command of any type, and it is restored the following turn. Your emissaries power is also based off your king's influence.
So a king with influence of 15 could issue 15 commands (plus 2 more typically, in most formats/scenarios, sometimes plus 4), and his Baron (50% of influence for power) would have power of 7.5.
