New Order Ranges in 4th Scenario

Along the same lines of thought about allowing more development time for players/kingdoms is reducing the range of agents, emissaries and spells.

Almost all spells should have range limitations to fit in with other aspects. Then a range of 10 for emissaries (I prefer nobles as the term) and agents as has been with no restriction on terrain, including crossing seas, seems like I cut a corner there given military (even patrol) movement. So I am thinking about not a major overhaul but just changing the range for Agents and Nobles to 6 or 7 (perhaps by kingdom, so Ranger nobles would have a greater range than say Gnomes), and the unlimited spell distances (other than HP divinations) be somewhere between 7 and 10, or perhaps 5 + 1 per power level. Similarly, higher level agents could have improved ranges. Thoughts?

I can see it for the agents, perhaps, but not the mages. This would devalue those kingdomes even more.

I think the range is good on agents, they cover just about one region. Now if you looking to tweak it maybe adding range like 10 +1 for Ranger or what ever kingdom or even for ever 3 lvl of agent they get a +1 range.
Wiz spells yep need some tweak on certain spells like why can my raven spell 888 only go 10 spaces. If do change it you would be looking at needing another higher lvl spell like ( hawk spell ) for farther range or even (eagle spell) that does what 976 does. Now that is just one spell of many so not sure it would be worth it

One thing to consider on Noble movement is that they can't end a turn except in a pop center. That makes them trickier to move around the map than troops.

Plus they already are at risk to capture by military kingdoms and they are now more difficult to replace with higher influence costs on governors.

I think 8 might be a good range minimum. You could test the game either way.
