Surprise Attack and Declarations
#11
I think even the honor system should allow some communication. I am generally thinking of the regions with two kingdoms. Perhaps something like to start the game you can know who is playing but not which kingdoms they are playing. Submit choices or non choices like we have done in anon games. That the game allowing messages through turns. Then around turn 5 release who has which kingdom and allow normal diplomacy. Most likely allies would be made but you will not know who with at least to start. I think this could help to remove some of the pre game alliance that lead to the wolf packs or groups of friends starting out as buddies. I know for myself there are certain players I am less likely to strike out vs to start the game because I know there play style is more easy going and more I am going to get who ever threatens me.

Limit early message to maybe 50 characters or so.

Just some thought. I do like having more communication option for game types than full or no diplomacy. As far as not complaining when others do stuff in the game. Do not think that can be avoided some times there are just hard feelings and someone feels they need to voice what they did not like. Even if anything goes lines can be crossed.
