Early Strategic Objective
#1
Part of my Early Strategic Objective is the reward of two additional brigades of troops. Will these troops be awarded at the end of the turn or earlier on? If earlier, do I have to account for food/gold consumption of those additional brigades?

All ESO awards (and Appeals to the Gods if active in the scenario) come at the end of the turn. They will be listed on that turn's results but not be available for use (or need maintenance) until the following turn. Troop related rewards (brigades, leaders, wizards, etc) will be placed in the lowest number group ID available.

Just to clear up, the objectives have to be achieved by or ON turn 10 right? i.e. once turn ten is computed you should have achieved the objectives? The reward is automatic with no special order to check/claim it?

So the results for turn 10 will show you having accomplished your ESO and tell you of the rewards? Those rewards should be available for use/consideration when drawing up turn 11 orders?

Are the rewards for accomplishing the ESO by turn 10 greater than turn 15?

Also, the setups don't mention a timeframe for the ESO. I know it's listed in the general rules, but for new players like me it'd be helpful if the words 'by turn 10' were added to the text describing the specific ESO in the setup.

By turn 10 makes it sound like you can get the reward prior to turn 10.

I think you only achieve it if conditions are met at the end of 10 or 15.

Re: ESO: Is it required that the player's 1st group be sitting at their capitol at the end of turn 10 to receive their ESO?

All is says in the rules is: Most items that will be received will be placed at the capitol; if there are items that belong with a group they will be placed with the kingdom's first group;

I read this that the reward goes to the 1st group regardless of its location.

And just to be clear, is it not true that Leaders and Wizards will ONLY go into the 1st named group? That is, if the 1WE has three leaders and was due to gain a new one, he would not go into an open slot in the 2WE, he would just go back home and disappear?

No, he will join that 1st WE group and the LOWEST leader would vanish. Same with Wizards.

I believe they go to the 1sr Group no matter where it is located.
