Somehow, I saw this:
Group gets +10% attack vs. PC for each Troll brigade. Troll brigades regenerate a portion of attrition for the group
I thought it was a +10% flat bonus, not 10% per Troll brigade.
So...
A group gets +50% attack for five Troll brigades. Really? Seriously?
And then with Orcs, you can get an additional 35%?
Is that really an 85% bonus? (versus PCs)
And oh yeah, you are evil, so you pay 75% for those troops.
Is this actually how things are?

Trolls capped at 30%, but yeah….

Trolls capped at 30%, but yeah….
But several of us have said that that’s over powered. The orcs got capped two updates ago, used to much much higher lol also needs to be like the Zamora bonus a flat 10% w three or more in group. Imo

Percentage increases like that are dangerous to game balance as they impact the entire group and scale as the group scales. This is why fear and valor effects are so powerful. Its also why leaders are so important.
Consider this ability:
For the cost of three orders, 36,000 gold and 36,000 food, recruit an immortal warlord to your group who leads it versus PCs. This warlord is in addition to your other leaders.
Does that seem good? A conditional fourth warlord. Seems good to me.
Three troll brigades are arguably better.
Let's think about that.

Like I said, it has already been brought up.. and as far as balance it’s been working out with the two additional updates I already spoke of. Fear/Valor/orc moral all topped off at max from all sources at 35%.
Trolls have been brought up in more that one thread and from talking w John it’s being addressed.
But I’m pretty sure I don’t need a lesson on game play or game mechanics since I’ve been playing in this game format with these same issues going on nine years.
