Hail and Well Met

My name is Brian Schrader and I played Alamaze back in the 1980s when it was still PBM. Just now found it again after 3 decades : Blush Live in Kansas, USA. Also played Hyborian War (long live Uttara Kuru) and Midgard back in the day and more recently Androhil and DungeonWorld. Looking forward to getting back into the new modern Alamaze.

First question! What is this distinction between podium and non-podium players?

Welcome Imperial Tark!

Podium is like a medal ceremony for gold, silver, bronze, for players in a 12 or 15 player game.  Podium players have, well, been on the podium.

Please do not take any of my comments as a personal insult or as a criticism of the game 'Alamaze', which I very much enjoy. Rather, I hope that my personal insight and unique perspective may, in some way, help make 'Alamaze' more fun, a more successful financial venture, or simply more sustainable as a long-term project.
