Can we get the new game sign up area cleaned up. There seems to be 1 to as many as 4 games players are trying to start but some I am not sure are official or not. I appreciate the enthusiasm of players trying to start new games but it get confusing since not all the player started games are put into the top part of the form. I posted in this thread so to not clutter up the New sign up area.

I would be happy to help, but Rick wanted control of that section and I'm having a hard time making sense of it myself.

Please do not take any of my comments as a personal insult or as a criticism of the game 'Alamaze', which I very much enjoy. Rather, I hope that my personal insight and unique perspective may, in some way, help make 'Alamaze' more fun, a more successful financial venture, or simply more sustainable as a long-term project. Anyone who reads this post should feel completely free to ignore, disregard, scorn, implement, improve, dispute, or otherwise comment upon its content.

I would like to look into getting into a new game, but some I just am not sure are open, filled, or what ever other status. Hoping an Anon game opens up, I would like to run one normal game and one Anon.

I do not know how the race auction will work since Rick kind of said that can not work. The rules for that game need to be readdressed.

I really would like players to not post new threads for game signups, especially when they expect new programming will be done to support their ideas. So for example, we won't likely be introducing many new rules on restrictions in Anonymous games. Instead rely on me to do that. I have commented on this several times: we generally have a rotation. When players keep wishing to insert additional criteria, or assert they only want to play, say, "Anonymous Steel Rex with No Chivalry with M-W-F, with no ally declaration", this will just bog everything down.
We generally move between Steel and Magic, between Anonymous and Diplomacy, between Rex and SVC, between turn-around schedules, but not all at the same time. I don't want players waiting in four different queues for a game to start, I want them getting in the games quickly, and to try different existing formats. We have I believe at least 16 formats already. On my side of the table, we would instead like to focus on 3rd Cycle development while keeping 2nd Cycle buzzing.
We just started a new Anonymous draft game today, was created a few minutes ago, close to midnight Eastern Friday night, after lots of discussion among players. Saturday sometime I'll create a new queue. I don't mind players lobbying in General Discussion for a specific format and if that seems to be the most requested that can be the next one to queue up for. But let me post the sign-up threads and that will eliminate a lot of what may be confusing.
The exception would be any Warlords signup initiative, as that is a different breed of cat. Thanks.

OK, I think I've cleared this up. The two existing signup threads were cancelled and replaced by two new threads that are stuck (at the top of New Game Signup) and I believe clear on the format.
