Well the problem with the email system happened again this morning and failed to send out alert notices for those who haven't submitted their turns yet for today's games.
Later on, I'll check the server if there were a problem emailing our turns but I may not be able to access the server from work until later this afternoon.
Something definitely is different though, either with our game server's update (not by me but by their own OS patch system) or the email service (run by a different company).
To make matters worse, Ry Vor's personal emails were hosed yesterday when he attempted to move them to another folder so that will slow down any support and new game startup requests since it affected both his support and signup email areas.

Mike,
Does this mean games will be delayed?
I for one am unable to enter orders for a current Warlords game that was supposed to be transferred to my account. It is due today and it seems Rick was unable to make the switch.

Games won't be delayed unless the server has an issue with its email delivery where I'll have to restart it a few minutes later.
If you have an order entry issue before the turn is due, send an email to support and I'll try to fix it before noon today.

No issues with receiving turns on the web at all, assuming results would still be in a format that could be saved onto a computer.
GUI would be fantastic, and I think it would be very helpful, especially for newer players!

Thanks Mike, but I think a temporary solution just presented itself. I'll send you a PM.

Would going to the web also mean no more warning a turn is due? Could we have a small calendar showing when the next turn us due for upcoming games we are in?
I do like just having my turn pop up in my email but if switching to web anyway does not really matter sooner vs later. Would we be required to log back in every time we want to check for turns? Similar to if we start a new game and want the new kingdom to show up on the menu? I do not like the idea of needing to log in multiple times to see if my turn is ready.

One side benefit of moving to 1/week, 2/week, 3/week, is that it will help with remembering deadlines. The only time I ever get tripped up is on those 4/4/6 games.

To access your turn, just login say a minute or so after noon and it'll be there. I would like to keep those email alerts going for us but with our flaky email system (Rackspace.com), I don't know if it can be relied upon as before.
How did Fall of Rome work? Did it email kingdom reports to everyone each turn or did players login whenever their turn was due and it was there? Were players allowed to save a copy of their turn locally or were they only able to access their turns online?
