DA - TR
Salutations, Lord Vapus, Regent of the Trolls!
We applaud your efforts against the Dread Dragons and wish to send you food and gold to show our appreciation.
On another matter, members of our court find themselves in one of your towns and one of your villages in Arcania. We would like to take these to increase our influence in the region, but will only do so if you approve. We would be delighted to compensate you for these, of course, and would add the funds to what we will already be sending. Please let us know your thoughts.
Cordially,
Roris Rex
Great Imperator of the Drow

Mighty Red Mage,
Sheerly out of curiosity, did you destroy a town in Northern Runnimede this month? No harm was done, just wondering if you might have been mopping up what you thought was a Dwarven pop center (but was actually Gnomish), or if there is some other Kingdom doing this (which would concern me more).
Best,
Bottlenose
It was not the Red Mage. All of my high level mages were occupied destroying most of the last of the annoying Dwarves still running around in my region.
The Witchlord has been amazingly random and unpredictable about blowing up population centers.

Please feel free to take it - we would rather have the gold and food without worrying about having to defend the pop centers. As we are short on orders, please declare us an ally and plan to send via 215, if you don't mind.

TR-BL We are in survival mode. We would be happy to work with you - do you see that ugly guy outside your palace holding up the 'Will work for food' sign? That's our ambassador.

We had already declared the Trolls to be our ally during the reign of your predecessor. We will send food and gold forthwith.
The Onyx Imperium thanks you for your cooperation. If you continue to refrain from targeting our kingdom and that of our dear brother, the Ranger, we would be happy to provide you with further mercenary work.
To our future cooperation,
Roris Rex

And to all the participants in this experimental game - whew! 110 pages of posts. Let's hear how you felt about this format.

I was very excited about this format to start with, but it turned out to be the worst possible format for my preferred playing style. We couldn't coordinate without giving something away which took the fun out of a diplomacy game. We couldn't do anything to one player without other players knowing about it, which took the fun out of a non-communication game. I really didn't enjoy that aspect of it. I won't be playing another.
Congrats to Head Honcho. I was actually one turn away from an all out attack on Oakendale when the Giant called for me to help him against the Ranger and Darkelf. I had all my armies and nearly all of my very large stable of agents and nobles at my village in R5. I actually killed an Elf P-6 the turn prior and was moving everything in that turn. Instead, I ran back to R10 theturn before the Elf dropped! I can't help but imagine that I would have been more successful than the disaster I faced fighting the Ranger!

Please do not take any of my comments as a personal insult or as a criticism of the game 'Alamaze', which I very much enjoy. Rather, I hope that my personal insight and unique perspective may, in some way, help make 'Alamaze' more fun, a more successful financial venture, or simply more sustainable as a long-term project. Anyone who reads this post should feel completely free to ignore, disregard, scorn, implement, improve, dispute, or otherwise comment upon its content.

Congratulations to the GN on a well deserved victory, and to the Ancient Ones and Underworld for their 2nd and 3rd places respectively.
I have thoughts to share on both the game in general and the communications format, however that will have to wait until a later time, I'm in the middle of a longer-than-usual business trip.
