Ok I have a full team of 3 now.
Who's up for a challenge

Previously, Mauler/Wynand/ChefMole offered to take on any comers.
But even if that's still true, it would still leave you only halfway there. Any interest in this format right now? Or maybe join the current anonymous game thread instead?

I'd be up for this. Would want some ground rules:
1.- No ally declarations outside your team 2.- Maybe random kingdom appointment (in which case natural enemies should be turned off...just in case one team ends up with the EL/DA/?, or DW/GN/?, etc...) 3.- No SVC, REX only. Not sure if one kingdom, of the three, should need to have 4 regions or the team as a whole needs 7 regions...could be discussed. 4.- Back to point 2 above. Perhaps the three people in each team could be given their 3 random kingdoms and they can choose among themselves who will play what. These are just some ideas, others could be added, as I've never played in a team game and do not know all of the peculiar situations that could be at stake.

I would add in that no team can get 2 kingdoms that share a region such as gnome and underworld. That would be unfair.

Just FYI, picking two Kingdoms from the same region is usually considered a slight DISadvantage for a team.

That's what I meant as unfair. It would be unfair for the team that got those 2 kingdoms

But that should be up to the picking team, yes? If they want to disadvantage themselves for a perceived advantage in some other area, shouldn't they be able to do that? More options.

Random kingdom is a bad idea. The draft is actually very fun in this format. Mad Hatter I recommend you try the normal way for your first game before trying to have special rules. HH has a rule set for silent or what ever he calls it I think that would cover the kind of stuff your worried about. I think most would be find to use those rules. I do not prefer them myself but many like them so I tolerate them
Maybe HH can post his rules thing. Actually post the draft rules as well I actually prefer that style draft for the most fairness of teams. |
