Would love to get some assistance this turn, the WI and RD are able to focus on me completely right now and while holding my own I would appreciate my ally dropping in. Here are some pertinent updates as to their attack:
- WI took Meridon (invisible 2WI with 3 P7's) and my town at SE in Torvale. So he has significant in Torvale.
- WI nuked a couple of villages in Arcania and has 1WI brigade and 4WI army at two of my pop centers in Arcania (VN and VP)
- WI rebelled a village at RG in Arcania (despite being hostile in the region- but no surprise as his influence is maxed out I suspect)
- I did make an insurance move by marching one of my army groups to Evanon- and I'll take that this turn, this should take WI down to minor in Amberland and will prevent him claiming victory
- RD attempted to attack Esteria Vale but he ran into a force field of some kind and stubbed his talons
- 1RD is now at Zarathon but is probably wondering if he'll run into another Dome, it's certainly possible
- 4RD is now at SL in Army strength
- 2RD lost it's marshal last turn to a kill wizard spell
- Most of his armies have been hit by 2-3 turns straight of darkness so -30% morale and also losing a few points a turn because they are in hostile region
What can my powerful wizard ally do to get attention? As previously suggested here- the WI was attempting to win the game last turn but failed. He has attacked me in force in Torvale and Arcania with no provocation. As we gear up to attack him as well as the RD I'd love to see you get his attention in other places. This could be the Mists, Meridon other pop centers in Amberland etc.. Best case would be to nuke his capital and destroy it.

RD-DE Let me assure you that I am not moving in concert with the WI. You attacked me unprovoked apparently because you had the totally mistaken idea that I was 'running away with it'. Had you gone after the WI instead, we probably wouldn't be looking at an early end to the game. I'm not sure what you expect me to do now but I'm always open to a deal if you want to focus on somebody else. But I'm not just going to accept some 'cease fire' with things being as they are when you have taken so much that was mine.

I don't necessarily agree that we're looking at an early end to the game, perhaps but I wouldn't really put that at my feet. I'm sure you understand that your holdings were much closer to mine than the WI and the Steppes were wide open.
I see from the forum you're not working with the WI as of yet.
I'm definitely open to a deal so make a proposal and we can go from there.

RD-DE: Here's my proposal - let me have the 3 cities (I need the gold) and a few villages back in the ES. You can keep control of both regions. Also, if my agent is still alive, I'd like him back please.

Queen Alexis,
I kept my end of the bargain, but was very surprised to see you attempt diplomacy rather than siege. You now have the gold as I promised. In doing so, I have gone above and beyond anything I was obligated to do, as I never promised assistance with the villages, nor to offer you gold for the town's production before you could take it.
Will you keep your end of the bargain and siege now, and forego any further attempts at diplomacy?
Sincerely,
Grundun

Master Grundun,
I'm a bit confused. I agreed to the exchange of 1 food for the gold but nothing else; I thought you were offering the gold in exchange for not being able to rebel your PCs (use the 240 orders). I thought it was agreed that I would take the two villages and the town that I've been attempting to take. I did not realize that you were concerned with "how" I would take them. So I do plan to take the villages diplomatically this turn and it looks like either siege or outright take the town. If you feel that is not what was communicated then I can certainly return whatever food/gold you feel would be appropriate. No intentional slight was meant.

Queen Alexis,
Quoting my prior messages, "On the town, if you are not guaranteed on parley or diplomacy, I would also be willing to tack on two months of current production from it, so that you can siege." Then: "For the siege of the town for two months of gold, plus one month of gold for each of the villages, I will trade you 13,452 gold for 1 food this month."
I have fully compensated you for two summer months of sieging, even though I myself would have received less revenue for the town during the siege. The reason this was important to me was first, to increase goodwill between our two Kingdoms, but second, because of a very precise budget calculation. And had you successfully taken the town via diplomacy, I actually would have been in significant distress, as I had been budgeting for siege, per my messages above.
Given that you are not guaranteed to take the town via diplomacy, and even more, given that I have compensated you in advance for the siege (and made my own understanding of our agreement clear based on the above quotations), I would greatly appreciate you following through with the siege, and not diplomacy.
If you agree to do this, in a continuing effort to increase goodwill, I will sweeten the offer by trading you the artifact you desire in exchange for a Palantir or other similarly unimportant artifact with comparable status with the peasants later on, after you retrieve it.
Best,
Grundun

Queen Alexis,
Thank you. We will issue the trade order this month for the minimum 10,000 gold. I trust you have the particulars... no need to alert anyone else who might be looking over our shoulders on communications!

Thank you, we do! BL Desert King and wizard, this turn, ex-king and ex-wizard, they are. Fully satisfied, we are, even if ends, the game does. So on your offer, agree we do. But gold, this turn, we need, so artifact, for now, you can keep. Maybe next turn, we trade. But one thing, we ask. BL skeletons, there are 3, yes? Third skeleton, do you have? If so, the revealing, we would like, to all announcing. Satisfying to us, even more, it would be.

Mysterious Yoda,
By all means! The Black Dragon Prince has indeed coughed up all he knows. We were saving it for a rainy day, but please feel free to send your emissary to alert all of the town criers of the land that the former Black Dragon King had Zoophobia: he feared all animals (minor skeleton code 8457).
And if the struggle continues, we would be happy to trade you the artifact next month, or whenever you want.
Best,
Grundun
