Now you likely have an email folder for each game, as well as a folder for each map, maybe correspondence, etc.
Maybe there could be a test, but if it looks like most people want email no matter what, it's not worth Mike's time to develop.
In Fall of Rome, you went to one website, check any turns, issue any orders, interact with the map, send communication, and its all on hosted servers without having to launch applications, create folders, manage emails, etc.
Think about it, won't you?
I could wrap up what I've done for the 3rd Cycle solo game with Ry Vor's restrictions for an intro game (he just sent me a document about it) and let the players see the difference of not receiving an email of their turns. It won't be for a while yet and it won't have a computer controlled opponent with the first release but it'll be something to compare and possibly get used to as we move towards a Kingdoms of Arcania version of the game.
Also, I spoke to a co-worker of mine who suggested a neat trick for me to do on the server that should allow multiple players to run the game rather than just one. I haven't tried it yet but that will allow me to expand the solo game to something like 3-4 players of either human or computer controlled positions which would be better in the long run.
