Very good. If anyone has second thoughts, exercise them now, else we may create this game later this afternoon or evening.

Full disclosure, I failed to notice this was a "silent" game, especially as past championships have been full diplomacy, so I sent general feelers out to some of my neighbors.
No one has responded (except for one person who pointed out this was a silent game), and I immediately sent out "please disregard" follow-ups to those neighbors. My sincere apologies for missing this. More than willing to eat my $40 setup fee and resign or handoff to a standby if people feel that's appropriate.

No harm done. No foul

Not necessary, thanks for the honorable course - no harm, no foul. Let the game begin! (Silently)

Thanks for understanding! Silent on!

Yikes, I was just going to sit down and send out some diplomatic pouches. Thanks for you making the mistake instead of me.

A point of clarification: the purpose of "silent" is to allow the public selection of kingdoms, but to eliminate coordinated 2v1, etc. No other rules change other than prohibiting direct communication between players, i.e., enemies and allies can still be declared, offers to trade, support on High Council issues are still allowed. Players can post on the forum as to general events - who controls what regions, or lost control, enemies and allies declared, so the community can follow along at least a little.
Good hunting, all! |
