Only region 2 left for whoever shows up to claim it. Funny, it was my second choice if I hadn't gotten 10.

Region 2 is pretty much the only one I don't want to play. That's what I get for eating dinner!

I would have enjoyed getting in on this but it seemed to go fast from conception to full.

This game is filling so fast that I don't even have time to comment on it after doing some research. I've already sent Ry Vor an email about the pc layout situation and it's a bit scary in what needs to be done.
For example, if you thought Amberland was crowded before, try squeezing 20 kingdoms in there for a game. Just the village situation alone looks like 8 villages will be initially claimed (AM AN AT BL DE NO SA SO) then add the standard two human villages. That's 10 total without any of them being neutral.
When adding some neutral, a ballpark figure may have a village range of 12-14 total per region since we want each region to be in proportion to each other. That's not including dispersed kingdoms which will add another 4-6 for a total of around 16-20 villages per region.
So is everyone willing to play in a game with perhaps 20+ villages in every region? Some regions won't be as crowded as Amberland so they'll have the advantage of having a lot of neutrals hanging around. I'll also have to check how having so many extra pc's in a region will affect encounter/artifact placement to avoid collisions when generating the map.
I also have to look into creating a brand new game variant in the definitions file. That requires some work with the game creation utility that Ry Vor uses to create new games, the launcher program to make sure it runs properly at noon everyday with the new definition, and testing these changes with the new website to make sure it can handle and manage the additional files for the custom game. So making a change like this isn't as simple as it was back in the 2nd Cycle days. There are multiple software modules that have to be modified to ensure that they work together in the proper order to handle the new game format.
So if Ry Vor gets back to me Sat morning, I could start working on the code and I should have it ready by Wed or so. But doing all of this work won't be worth it if people balk at the large number of pc's required in each region and it's especially not worth it if this type of game will only be played once. I've already been through that with a custom game that wanted its order limit to be 4 above influence (rather than 2) and other custom jobs that weren't worth the development effort at all since they were never used again.
If you asked me, I would rather be pulled off my tasks to change the Duel format to allow all 22 kingdoms to be played against each other (random placement) than create this variant. Actually, that change for the Duel game is much simpler than this one but I'll do whatever Ry Vor wants done.
Would it change everyone's attitude towards the game if we only started with pop centers in our own regions? Does this make your task easier UM?
