Second Warlords in The Choosing

I think that I need to be a part of a draft before I can really formulate an opinion on things like balance/order of picks. Any of the above methods are suitable for me.

I'm sure that I will be able to give some input as this game (or even the draft) wraps up!

I think I prefer LT's proposal, slightly tweaked. (I don't think my original proposal sufficiently balanced for the undesirable nature of pick 12.)

B 2+8+10 (20)
C 3+6+11 (20)
D 4+7+9 (20)

I like it!!! Perfect compromise. As both LT and JF have said, really no bad picks with this slate. I definitely think it's the way to go.

Yes, I like this draft order also.

This should be the standard moving forward for Warlord games.  Since Will and I both agree and Tomag is willing to use any draft to play Warlords I think it is decided.

This discussion is about Warlord games -- which Rick didn't allow us to play for so long that everyone's game slots are already tied up - in which I focus my gaming efforts.  Most of the time I join the other games as one of the last few players just so we can get the games going so my fellow players have a game to play.  You think I am happy playing SA as the last player to join in the full diplomacy game?  I joined because Morgan Kane returned and I very much like competing against him in Warlord formats and knew that he was joining regular games to gain familiarity with the new rules.

I have never insulted you JF and acknowledge that you win in every format.  I was only mentioning Warlord records because Morgan Kane has returned to our gaming community and thought he might appreciate the acknowledgment.  I also understand he doesn't need it.  I am simply trying to support our gaming community.  I stopped playing FoR years ago not because I didn't like the game but because I didn't like what our player base had become.  I certainly understand how to vote with dollars.

I am happy to have a discussion with you about why I like Warlord and despise Magic; but until you actually change my mind I am free to post my opinion.  Your response certainly hasn't provided any information as to why one format is superior to another to enable me to change my mind.

I have spent the last few months listening to a big F - U to Warlord players.  Now that the format is open I would like to have discussions on the Forum.  Apparently you are not in favor of that?  Active Forums are a great tool for obtaining new players.  But it seems in this community we cannot even discuss things...

What happened to the bidding format someone (HH?) proposed where you start with 100 gold or points or whatever and bid on each kingdom? I thought that was intriguing too.

Not sure what was finally decided (BTW, its not a problem to award Chivalry to some positions if that is what the players want, I would just need to know which) but I have not received draft results for the 1st Warlords game, am heading out and Monday is a busy day.

You haven't received any info because the draft is still underway. The players are not anxious or in a rush, so no worries in working around your schedule whenever the draft finishes.
