As a relatively new player, I can attest that Alamaze is filled with excitement and in-depth strategy that the most veteran of gamers can appreciate! The grizzled, veteran players of Alamaze are always VERY friendly and helpful to answer any basic question about mechanics, or talk to you about strategies to aid you in out-witting your opponents.
I'm not sure how acquainted you are with Alamaze, but there are currently two full-on 12 kingdom games that are one or two players away from launching if you're looking to immerse yourself right away! If the full-on diplomacy or anonymous formats are not appealing to you, here before too long I'm sure a new player primeval game will open that will be a perfect format for you to learn the basics!
