New Anon game: the World Ends in Fire and Ice

Also for pagan, Ancient One consul's cannot divine either so it'll be a slow game where you have to find pc's by either: (1) groups moving/landing upon them, (2) agents searching for them [4 areas at a time], (3) wizard eagle/raven familiar spells, or (4) wizard unveil pc location spell [cannot cast until turn 4].

And pagan games can last until turn 50 (normal is 40 turns).

I have a question.

Are the starting regions randomized? I know that the Red Dragon is usually an at large kingdom, and there are 10 kingdoms and 10 regions.

No RD starts with capital in R3,7,or 8.  Will have PCs and armies in the others
The UN can start 1,4, 10.  
TY starts with 7 PCs spread between r 5,7,8,9.  
The others all start in their zones

Basically there are 10 regions and 10 players but nothing says 2 players might feel the same region is theirs.

Looking at the current sign up
Region 4/7/8/10 do not have a set kingdom in them

4 is SO/AM (AM get +20% food for plains PC. Could help in ice age) also good movement in plains with riders. SO a pure Mage with hidden capital. Early meteor strike could do 6k damage to PC at p4. UN could start in Here

7 is HA/GN (HA starts with a couple p3s and two hidden villages), GN good Mage and has siege engineering. War machines have one of the highest vsPC strength per food of any unit. RD or TY could start here

8 RA/IL. IL pure Mage with hidden capital. RD or TY can start here. High chance RD invasion

10 NO/AN. NO gets oasis so untouchable 10k food and gold per turn. That is half the food production of most regions for free every turn after T4. riders and good movement in plains/forest. AN greatly hindered in this games choices. UN could start here but other PCs/units would be in regions 1 and 4

Good analysis.  Let's see how it gets analyzed in Maelstrom when any kingdom can be anywhere on a brand new map.

Yes it did.  Doh I was hoping I was helping you make a good choice.   Looks like someone else jumped in and grabbed the NO as the final spot
