Game Balance
#1
So looking on the Valhalla we have some nations doing very well and some doing poorly. Only 9 games have completed so it is only a small sample.

Is this the case that the nations need adjusting or are the nations fairly balanced?

Are we as players are not doing what we can to stop certain nations from becoming powerful in the game.

Nations like the Druid, Demon Princes and Deathkinghts are doing very well. Is this just a case of them being lucky and not being attacked, or are they deterring players from attacking them because of their unique skills, or in the Druids case the ability to quickly make fortifications on their PC's.

Also the nations that most would consider military are in general doing poorly. I look at the setups on some of these and I think how can that be the case as they look really strong, but clearly that as yet in not translating into good point scoring in game. Is this because of play style or other factors like lower mages and poorer spell lists.

Zar,

I think 9 games is probably too small a sample to work with.

That said, we see the Halfling in the lead, the kingdoms that have been chosen the most usually win the most, and I'm surprised that the Giant, Free Traders and Illusionist haven't won yet.

Misleading on the Halfling. He won as part of a team game. Just pull the individual win stats.

Stats will be tainted. Those big military kingdoms were crushing it until several kingdoms moved against them to stop them. I suspect same with wizard kingdoms late in games. Would also look at experienced players as opposed to new players and the kingdom played. I think all that has to be looked at too? Not just kingdom vs kingdom.
