Maelstrom Ice Age 12 Man Steel! BRRRR - Just in time for summer.
You wouldn't have to actually delete the game, would you? We'd just all have to agree to the diplomatic solution. Drogo, would you accept Forum Diplomacy as opposed to Full/Email Diplomacy?

No way to do it.  Everyone from now on would have to ignore it.  Its an ugly thing.

Believe me, The Gray Mouser doesn't prefer Ice Age or Full Diplomacy either.  See notes on not starting variants.  Meanwhile we have/had a full game nearly through a long draft. 

Again, I don't think our current mix of players, Drogo, are going to be blasting everyone every turn like 2nd Cycle style.  I think it will be sparse conversation with neighbors.  In any case, we need to see how it in fact goes and if I am right, this may become a favored format.  Let's give it a go. 

No one should feel they need to contact everyone even on Turn 1.  Just keep it real.

Just while I am being chatty, as this draft closes, here are a couple things under consideration:

1.  Standard Rex Victory to be 5 regions instead of 4.  Having 4 would be an option as a "Short Game".  Five regions I think makes the development aspect intended in Maelstrom more practical and really is in sync with going from 10 regions to 13.

2.  Having a variant of "Ready or Not" so that if all but one player is ready after at least 24 hours since last turn processed, the turn will process 4 hours later at latest, with the delinquent player notified he has 4 hours to submit turns.  In any eventuality, all players are encouraged to submit at least core orders after getting the last turn results.
